TSL is proud to announce our partnership with LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art), providing professional theatre lighting hire to enhance LAMDA’s student productions and to further aid their training with experience working alongside a lighting hire company.
LAMDA offers vocational training to actors, stage managers, technicians, directors and designers. We are honoured to support their students by supplying industry-leading equipment, ensuring they gain valuable experience and familiarity with using relevant tools.
Our collaboration began in February 2025 with the production of Saint George and the Dragon at The Sainsbury Theatre, and is set to continue for another seven productions this year; with the next productions being 3 Winters by Tena Štivičić and Frontline by Ché Walker.
Working with a rental company like TSL allows LAMDA’s students to have a realistic industry experience as the lighting directors can make choices about their priorities when designing a show with what equipment is available to them, rather than relying on venue stock. In addition to this, the Prod LXs gain experience from liaising with TSL as a rental company for equipment hire, invoicing and delivery.
