TSL Lighting is thrilled to introduce three key additions to our team: Matt Farquhar, Jamie Wells, and Luke McCreary. Each of them brings a wealth of industry experience and knowledge, fresh perspectives, and a shared commitment to enhancing the efficiency and quality of our operations.
Matt joined TSL in June 2024 as Head of Operations, overseeing IT, Transport, Warehouse, Assets, and Projects. With over 50 members of staff under his leadership and five managers, including Jamie and Luke, reporting directly to him. Matt plays a crucial role in driving operational efficiency and keeping TSL’s business operations aligned with growth targets.
“It’s always a bit unnerving not knowing what kind of team you’re coming into, but I’ve loved starting at TSL. It’s been fantastic — I’ve been made to feel welcome and the people are really nice. We’re all fighting for a cause that’s worthwhile, and everyone is on the same page.”
Only a few months into his role at TSL, Matt’s first huge project has been managing the development of TSL’s new warehouse space. From coordinating installations to improve workflow, to beginning a culture shift within the team, Matt has already begun transforming internal processes and enhancing the working environment:
“We want a really high-quality finish for everything [in the new warehouse] — new training rooms, office spaces, and other facilities. If it’s a great environment for our people, it will translate into better service for our customers.”
Jamie joined TSL in January as an IT Manager, focussing on high-level business systems and infrastructure. Having previously worked in a warehouse and as a project manager, Jamie’s combined knowledge of operations and technology makes him uniquely suited for this role.
Jamie is particularly excited about contributing to TSL’s expansion:
“TSL is at a point of transition. Being part of this new warehouse project and building the infrastructure from scratch has been almost a dream come true.”
With a background in technical theatre and a career path that progressed from prepping equipment to project management, Luke joined the team in January as an Operational Project Manager, as part of his role he has taken leadership over focusing on the design and construction of TSL’s new building. His goal is to drive greater efficiency and better working practices across the business.
“I’m excited about TSL’s forward momentum, I felt that this is the perfect opportunity for me to embrace a new challenge. I truly appreciate the significant trust that has been placed in me, especially as someone new to the company. It’s a refreshing experience, and I’m eager to make the most of it.”
Their expertise and shared commitment to improving systems, enhancing working environments, and supporting the wider team reflects TSL’s ongoing commitment to excellence.
