We’ve invested in some new kit to support our busy summer schedule, so here’s an overview of some of the highlights.
The GLP JDC1 Hybrid Strobe combines a traditional single tube strobe element with a surrounding full face of RGB LED power. Both elements have independent control and can be used as separate pieces, or combined for stunning effects. Both the tube and the full face sections can be run continuously for high output blinder and wash light effects, which never reduce output or have thermal cutouts. To give even more functionality, both the tube and the RGB face can be divided into 12 separate sections, and fully pixel mapped through the lighting console. The JDC1 also features dynamic movement with a 16 bit, 185° tilt range.
We have also added more than 300 of the next generation Oxo Pixyline 150 slimline LED batten. The low weight, low profile, IP65 battens contain 14 x 10w RGBW LED cells and offer full pixel control. Battens are supplied with in-built cable links using 5-pin DMX and PowerCON TRUE1 connectors.
We’ve increased our stock of Chroma-Q Colorforce II 12 & 48 LED battens, improving the flexibility of our existing Colorforce II systems and increasing total inventory to well over 150m of total length. The Colorforce II is the gold standard of LED cyc lighting fixtures with a smooth, homogenised output making it ideal for even the largest wash.
It’s not all about the new shiny toys! We’ve been searching for a classy yet discreet way to identify our new Doughty 12.6kg Stage Weights to make sure we could keep up with our minimal branding ethos. Our new laser-etched logo means that our weights still look slick onsite but always make their way home!
Staying with the hardware theme, our new Manfrotto Avenger Combo 35 Stands are the perfect partner for any of our vintage eye candy range or even the Robe Patt 2013. It’s a heavy duty steel stand with both a 28mm receiver and 16mm stud that can support a payload up to 40kg and can reach a maximum height of 3.50m.
