TSL on the ‘Counter Strike’

London hosted the BLAST Premiere Spring Final at the OVO Arena Wembley last month, where the world’s elite Counter Strike 2 players descended to battle it out for a prize pool of £425,000.00 and a chance to compete in the highly anticipated World Finals in December 2024.

BLAST looked to TSL to provide the lighting package for this high profile esports event. Lighting Designer Kasper Lange made full use of the system supplied, creating a striking visual display using 169 Robe MegaPointe, 78 Robe Spiider and 52 GLP JDC-1.

Control was via GrandMA3 lighting consoles with data distribution via TSL’s Multimode Neutrik OpticalCON Quad Fibre Optic system and Luminex nodes and switches.

18,000 fans attended the tournament in person, which was also streamed online to an estimated audience of around 375,000. 17 year old ‘wonder-kid’ Danil ‘donk’ Kryshkovets stole the show, scooping first prize and securing a place at the world finals later this year.
