UK – Lighting and Rigging specialist TSL invested in over 120 of Clay Paky Axcor 300 range supplied by UK distributor Ambersphere in July this year.
The Axcor Spot 300 is a mid range has 17 gobos on 2 wheels, including 7 high quality dichroic rotating gobos. Weighing just 20 Kg and measuring a little over 500 mm tall, this unit incorporates features like a rotating prism, CMY colour mixing, motorised iris, soft edge filter, 16-bit dimming, and a 8-40° zoom.
The Axcor Beam 300 has an even more compact body – less than 500mm in height – and emits a super-concentrated solid beam with a beam angle as small as 2° and an amazing light output for an LED fixture. The quality of its colors and aerial effects, its electronic focus and its 140 mm diameter front lens make the Axcor Beam 300 the perfect replacement for a Clay Paky Sharpy, with a minimum safe distance of only 3m compared to 12m with the original Sharpy.
Managing Director Sam Tamplin comments “We’ve been considering replacements for some of our compact moving light fixtures so spent a long time at Pro Light & Sound in Frankfurt evaluating the mid-range moving light market. The Axcor range were the products that really stood out for us – the units are feature packed and come with the support and backup of Clay Paky and Ambersphere which is invaluable to us.”
