TSL’s facility comes equipped with four meeting rooms, a large training room, two state-of-the-art pre-visualisation suites and a pre-rig space, available to book through your TSL account manager or by emailing [email protected].

As a centre of excellence for the event production industry, we are are utilising these specially designed areas to host a variety of different training courses throughout the year! TSL is a place where people can learn, collaborate and connect all in one place. You will be able to expand your knowledge and skillset using the very best equipment this industry has to offer.

Our booking system runs on a first-come-first-serve basis, where your place will only be secured once payment is received.

IPAF Harness Awareness, User and Inspection Course

Course Overview:

The IPAF Harness Awareness, User, and Inspection (HA/HU/HI) Course is designed to equip operators, supervisors, and safety professionals with the essential knowledge and practical skills required for the safe use, inspection, and maintenance of safety harnesses when working at height.

This course is accredited by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) and ensures compliance with industry regulations for working safely with Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) and other elevated work environments.

BS7909 C Course (2 days)
Dates: 14th & 15th April 2026

BS7909:2023+A1:2024 Temporary Electrical Systems 

This course deals with the requirements of BS7909: 2023 + A1:2024 Temporary Electrical Systems – The Code of Practice for the creation and operation of Temporary Electrical Systems for Entertainment and Related Purposes.

BS7909 is used in a huge range of events beyond the scope of the IEE Regulations. The Standard outlines the necessary management arrangements and the required range of electrical supplies, heavy-duty flexible cables and portable distribution units needed. The systems used range from very simple to  highly complex and the Standard gives recommendations for all temporary electrical systems.

To provide a knowledge and understanding of BS7909: 2023+ A1:2024 Temporary Electrical Systems – The Code of Practice for the creation and operation of Temporary Electrical Systems for Entertainment and Related Purposes.

Candidate Suitability
The course is intended for all those involved in the Design, installation testing and verification of temporary electrical systems that are required to comply with BS7909 and are required to be the Competent and responsible person.
Previous experience and an understanding of BS7671 is necessary to gain maximum benefit from this course.
Qualification in BS7671, 17th or 18th edition would be an advantage but not essential.

Course Outcome/Qualification
Candidates who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  • Define aspects of the British Standard
  • Identify and locate issues in existing system
  • Describe and discuss problem solving and future plans with colleagues in relation to the standard
  • Choose equipment suitable for purpose
  • Make informed cable choice
  • Design, install, test, verify and certify a temporary electrical system to the standard required

On successful completion the learner will receive a certificate in the Requirements for Temporary Electrical Installations (BS7909:2023 + A1: 2024 Temporary Electrical Systems) in the elements listed in the syllabus, accredited by PM training/The Academy for Theatre Arts.

Avolites Titan Advanced Level 2 (2 Day Course)
Dates: 28th & 29th April 2026


Level 2 covers more advanced programming options and setups within Titan, which includes networking, external triggering and working with timecode. These skills will help you to use the Titan software more efficiently and pick up some tips and tricks along the way!

A working knowledge of Titan, up to the standard of our “Level 1” course, is REQUIRED before attending this course. It is strongly recommended to attend Level 1 in person BEFORE signing up to Level 2.

Avolites Titan Intermediate Level 1 (2 Day Course)
Dates: 30th April & 1st May 2026


Level 1 works through everything you need to know to build a showfile from scratch, using Titan-based consoles. From patching fixtures through to recording playbacks, palettes, creating effects and cue lists. These skills will help you become a more confident programmer, when creating shows for live events, theatre and more.

A working knowledge of DMX, colour mixing and moving lights is REQUIRED before attending this course.

This is NOT a basic course, it’s intermediate and you are required to have previous lighting programming knowledge.
