Marketing Manager

This role encompasses day to day management of the company’s marketing communications, brand, image and PR, alongside developing new ideas to increase business development, marketing presence and overall position within our industry. This is a flexible role, with hybrid working options available.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities:

● Managing the company’s Social media channels, identifying potential
opportunities through liaison with internal staff, clients and through TSL’s rental system.
● Using the right mix of social media to reach and expand the target market and drive engagement with our brand
● Designing and developing a marketing strategy (alongside Commercial Director) which builds upon our current social media successes
● To directly manage and be responsible for roll out and implementation of marketing strategy
● To be responsible for any marketing budgets allocated and planning strategic marketing forecasts from year to year
● To monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results, analysing leads and data and providing reports to the directors
● To manage, coordinate and drive consistency in branding and presentation across both external company documentation and customer literature and internal documentation (job descriptions, advertisements etc.)
● To create strategy and develop content and copy for all email campaigns, blogs, events, web pages and e shots
● To support the Directors and Project Managers when quoting and pitching for potential work and projects.
● Updating and maintaining a catalogue of case studies of past events.
● Providing and updating templates for documentation for tender processes.
● Assisting with design of quote presentation for larger pitches
● Organising and managing client demonstration days and client social events
● Organising and managing training days, both internal and external
● Organising and managing customer gifts
● Organising and managing TSL branded clothing and goods
● Assisting the directors with creation or commissioning of promotional videos or similar content
● Identifying opportunities for marketing of new products added to the
company’s inventory.
● Managing, maintaining and creating the company’s internal and external bi-monthly newsletters
● Developing and assisting with ideas to help evolve the TSL brand.
● To manage, organise and update client databases and associated mailing lists in line with GDPR.
● Playing a positive role in helping to support the company culture and brand values.
● Creating, maintaining and updating content for the company’s website.
● Keeping up to date with industry trends, developments and changes.
● Providing general marketing administrative support and practical assistance to all aspects of the company’s operations, including support to the Directors, Project Management,
● Answering and handling incoming telephone calls in a professional and polite manner.
● Keeping all work related information confidential and acting in a professional manner at all times;
● Being aware of and complying with the company Health and Safety Policy.
● Ensuring that the Company’s policies, rules, procedures and obligations are observed in carrying out the above duties.

Representing the Company:

● This role is truly a “public face” of the company. It is vital that you deal courteously with customers, visitors, callers and the public at all times and represent the company and its reputation in an impeccable manner.
● A generally cheerful demeanour, engaging personality and sense of humour would be a huge advantage in making a success of this role.
Skills & Qualities Required:
● A Marketing professional with previous experience and educated to minimum A Level, ideally CIM qualified
● Able to demonstrate skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relation activities.
● Able to demonstrate successful experience of writing editorial content and overseeing the design and production of marketing materials and publications.
● Experience of successfully managing and growing social media accounts.
● Strong oral communication skills via e-mail, telephone and face to face with colleagues and customers.
● Confident and dynamic personality with the ability to build interpersonal relationships and establish rapport with all stakeholders in a deadline driven environment
● Have natural commercial awareness, with an ability to see the bigger picture as well as having an eye for detail and accuracy.
● Strong team working skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable in a small team and rapidly changing environment.
● Proactive, self-motivated individual capable of working on their own initiative.
● Have strong computer skills and be quick to learn new programmes and procedures. Previous experience of Google Workspace and website software would be an advantage.
● Be able to demonstrate effective prioritisation and time management skills.
● Experience in the live events industry would be an advantage.
● A positive, ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to assist in all areas of need within the company.
● Proactive, self-motivated individual capable of working on their own initiative in a constantly changing and pressurised environment and fast developing company.
● Previous experience of Google Workspace an advantage.
