Salary – £60,000.00 + depending on experience

Reporting Line Manager:  Director

Overview

The Head of Sales will take overall responsibility for developing and executing the sales strategy to achieve company growth and revenue targets. This role requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in sales management, a proven track record of exceeding targets, and the ability to inspire and manage a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an overall sales strategy focused on revenue generation and profitability.
  • ​​Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to optimize performance and enhance skills, ensuring a strong focus on profitability in all sales initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders to promote customer loyalty.
  • Analyse market trends and sales data to identify new opportunities for growth while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective sales campaigns and promotional strategies.
  • Set sales targets and monitor performance metrics to drive accountability and results.
  • Chair weekly Sales meetings
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, strategies and KPI’s to the Directors
  • Foster a culture of integrity, excellence and innovation within the sales team.
  • Identify and implement training needs within the sales team.
  • Manage and approve holidays and time off for these teams to ensure that the needs of the business are met at all times.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in sales management in the live event industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of lighting and rigging systems in the live events industry is an advantage.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Google Workspace.

  • This role is truly a “public face” of the company. It is vital that you deal courteously with customers, visitors, callers and the public at all times and represent the company and its reputation in an impeccable manner.
  • A generally cheerful demeanour, engaging personality and sense of humour would be a huge advantage in making a success of this role.
