Hillsong, HTB & Jesues house at Hammersmith Apollo - April 2010

TSL supplied a full service lighting design and equipment rental for an event bringing together three of London's largest churches Hillsong, Holy Trinity Brompton and Jesus House for an event called Pentecost held at the Hammersmith Apollo, London.

The lighting design was a mixture of classic rock and roll and more modern moving lighting. A row of par can bars were flown just above the screen and Glek LED screen fitted with 201 and open white alternatively giving two distinct framing looks. 4 and 8 cell molefays were used as set pieces to add to the tungsten look. Coupled with the CS4 moving ACL bars Sam Tamplin was able to change the mood from large epic looks right back to subtle intimate look and feels.

A 5 min opener was created by Hillsong which involved full use of Projection, LED, Lighting and Sound including 16 dancers on stage. The entire sequence was pre programmed at TSLs Wysiwyg studio a few days before allowing Sam to see exactly what the lighting was doing. The sequence was set to TimeCode which meant that on the day all the production elements were synchronised perfectly in time. 5 minutes took a whole day to programme and included 120 cues involving the entire rig.
