MOUNTBATTEN FESTIVAL OF MUSIC 2017. TSL provided lighting equipment to the Royal Albert Hall for Mountbatten Festival of Music 2017. The show featured the Massed Bands of Her Majesty's Royal Marines and ran for three performances in March 2017. LD Richard Rhys Thomas supplemented the comprehensive in-house system with Martin MAC Vipers, Robe LED100 Beams, a truss circle and a number of generic fixtures supplied by TSL.

TSL recently completed a lighting installation at the Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff. Working for Blachere Illuminations, TSL Rigging removed the old facade and installed two 45m lightboxes whilst the lighting system included Robe DL4s.

PEOPLE NEWS AT TSL Dan Kelly has joined the Production Engineering team at TSL, having previously worked in our operations department since graduating from the University of Winchester in 2015. We are also glad this week to welcome Nigel Bennett as an Equipment Preparation Technician.

Could a Robot Replace Ed Sheeran TSL were at BBC Maida Vale this month, working for Snappin’ Turtle Productions providing lighting for a performance by a robot version of Ed Sheeran. In the documentary about robotics, presenter Greg James is on a mission to challenge a team of students build a robot orchestra and a humanoid robot, culminating in a gig in the BBC studio. Karl Lawton from TSL was on hand to provide lighting for the Ed Sheeran performance with a difference. he documentary is available to view on BBC iPlayer.
