Sam Tamplin – Managing Director

 

Sam is the founder of TSL Ltd one of the most successful ‘new’ companies rising through in the industry today. As the driving force behind TSL Ltd Sam has been involved with large scale shows installing temporary lighting system in Wembley Arena, Excel centre, Hammersmith Appolo & 02 Arena. Sam is at home arranging lighting for concert events with 45,000 capacity such as ‘the Festival Of Life’ held at Excel, London. Another string to his bow is his attention to detail that comes in to its own on Exhibition & conference work, his ability as a versatile allrounder within the lighting genre is why Sam continues to be in demand as a lighting designer and project manager.

Day to day Sam will be found managing his great team in Brighton, speaking with customers, planning future investment and designing shows. Sam loves good food, his wife and entertaining clients.

Marc Richardson - Operations Manager

Marc Richardson has worked in warehousing, transport, logistics and operations for 20 years and is a great addition to TSL. Marc ensures TSL runs smoothly, and is involved in the day to day work flow of the business. His skills and experience have proved invaluable and are a great asset to the company.

Frankie Du Toit - Head of Full Service Projects

Frankie has recently started with TSL as head of full service projects. Frankie has over 15 years of experience in the live event industry. From weddings, fashion shows to rock concerts.  He is well known for his project management skills within this field. Frankie has been involved a number of large full scale production events in the UK as well as internationally in venues such as O2 Arena, Excel Centre, Wembley Arena and theatres across London. Frankie has been involved with project installations including Sound, Lighting and AV, he has done a great deal of system design and is also known for his friendly and warm personality. Frankie is serious about his work and will always go the extra mile to ensure your project will run smoothly.

Peter Tomes - Lighting Designer

Peter has recently joined TSL as our in-house lighting designer. Peter who has completed a degree course in lighting programming at Rose Bruford College, will also be involved with event planning and pre-plotting in our WYSIWYG design suite. He can often be seen on site, and working within our warehouse assisting with the preparation of equipment.

Tom Hinkley – Warehouse Manager

 

Tom Hinkley started with TSL in the summer of 2009 as a freelance engineer. In October 2010 he started full time employment with TSL and is responsible for the maintenance, presentation, preparation and timely delivery of your rental equipment. As a valued member of the team Tom has recently been promoted to Warehouse Manager, and now controls the  running of the warehouse.

Jonathan Howell - Warehouse Assistant

The newest member of our team Jonathan joined us at the beginning of January 2012, and will be working with Tom on preparation and presentation of our goods.  

Phil Oliver – Freelance Lighting Engineer

Phil started freelancing for TSL in early 2009 and by September was a full time member of staff initially to help with the workload in the warehouse. Since then Phil has developed in to a very reputable freelance lighting engineer. Customers are always happy to see Phil turn up on site and he has been a great ambassador of TSL. Phil continues to be found on site making sure everything goes in on time.

Sam O’Riordan “Oakie” – Freelance Lighting Designer

 

Sam O’Riordan “Oakie” started full time employment early 2007 as a lighting designer and during his time here worked on most of the major concert touring and festival stages that TSL has supplied services for. Sam left his full time position in September 2009 to be a freelance lighting designer. Sam is very creative and always loves working hard on a new and exciting project. www.samoriordan.com

Jess Watson – Accounts Administrator

 

Jess joined the TSL team in August 2009. Her past jobs included banking and she is a fully trained beautician and masseuse. It’s Jess’s welcoming voice you will hear at the other end of the phone if you were to call our accounts number. She is a huge Reading FC fan and has a love for Quattro Formaggi Pizza and all things cheese!
